Rule 128
Provisions relating to resignation

(1) If the employee wants to voluntarily resign from his position, he must submit his resignation in writing to the Secretariat.
(2) In accordance with sub-rule (1), the resignation submitted to the Secretariat will be authenticated by the concerned employee. However, when an employee who is outside the country signs his resignation, he can send it to the Nepalese Embassy in the country where he is located, and if he is in a country where there is no Nepali Embassy, ​​to the Notary Public of the respective country.
(3) The resignation according to sub-rule (2) can be accepted by the following bodies or officials:-
(a) In the case of gazetted employees of first class and above, the committee,
(b) In the case of gazetted second and third class employees, the Secretary General,
(c) In the case of gazetted and unranked employees, the Secretariat Secretary.
