Article 250
National Natural Resources and Finance Commission
(1) There shall be a National Natural Resources and Finance Commission in Nepal which shall consist of a maximum of five members including the Chairman.
(2) The President shall appoint the chairman and members of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council.
(3) The term of office of the chairman and members of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission shall be six years from the date of appointment.
(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (3), the post of chairman or member of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission shall be vacant in any of the following cases:-
(a) If he tenders his resignation in writing to the President,
(b) If he attains the age of sixty-five years,
(c) If the resolution of impeachment is passed against him in accordance with Article 101,
(d) If he is dismissed by the President on the recommendation that he is unable to perform his duties while in service due to physical or mental illness,
(e) In case of his death.
(5) Chairman and members appointed according to sub-section (2) cannot be re-appointed. However, a member can be appointed to the post of chairman and if such a member is appointed to the post of chairman, the period of membership will also be counted as a pair when calculating his term of office.
(6) A person having the following qualifications shall be eligible for appointment to the post of chairman or member of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission:-
(a) Having obtained a bachelor's degree in a related subject from a recognized university and acquired specialization in the field of natural resources or finance management, economics, law, management for at least twenty years,
(b) Not being a member of any political party at the time of appointment (c) having completed the age of forty-five years, and
(d) having high moral character.
(7) The remuneration and service conditions of the chairman and members of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission shall be in accordance with the federal law and as long as they remain in office, the remuneration and service conditions shall not be changed to their disadvantage. But the extreme economic chaosBecause this provision will not be applicable in the case of a declared emergency.
(8) A person who has been the chairman or a member of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission shall not be eligible for appointment to other government services. However, nothing written in this sub-section shall be deemed to be a hindrance to being appointed to a political position or to a position to investigate, investigate or investigate a subject or to submit an opinion, opinion or recommendation after studying or investigating a subject.
