(1) For the effective implementation of this Act and the Convention, to recommend to the Government of Nepal the policy, legal and institutional measures to be adopted for the protection and promotion of endangered species of wild animals and plants, and to provide the necessary support and coordination in the implementation of this Act, an Endangered Wildlife and Plant National Committee as follows The coordination committee will be:-
(a) Secretary, Ministry of Forests and Environment - Coordinator (b) Joint Secretary, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs – Member
(c) Director General, Customs Department – ​​Member
(d) Director General, National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Department – ​​Member
(e) Director General, Forest Department – ​​Member
(f) Director General, Department of Botany – Member
(g) Director General, Department of Postal Services – Member
(h) Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Bureau of Investigation, Nepal Police – Member
(i) Director of Research, National Research Department – ​​Member
(j) Executive Director, National Forensic Science Laboratory – Member
(k) Head, Natural Science Museum, Tribhuvan University – Member
(l) Officials appointed by the committee - Member - Secretary (2) In the meeting of the committee according to sub-section (1), experts in the relevant field may be invited as per the need.
(3) The procedure related to the meeting of the committee as per sub-section (1) shall be as prescribed.
