Rule 59
Punishment
: If there is a reasonable and sufficient reason, the following departmental punishment can be imposed on the police personnel:-
(a) General Punishment
(1) Giving advice (2) To write an adverse opinion on the conduct report,
(3) To withhold promotion for a maximum of five years,
(4) To withhold not more than five salary increments,
(5) To reduce the salary increase by 5% to the maximum that has been paid (6) To be reduced to the original scale with seniority of the current post.
(b) Special punishment
(1) To remove him from service so as not to disqualify him for future government service,
(2) Dismissal from the service so as to be disqualified for future government service.
