(1) If a police officer leaves the service for any reason other than being deemed unfit for government service in the future, he shall be entitled to a lump-sum payment of his accrued home leave and sick leave at the rate of salary from the position he is entitled to.
(2) If a police officer dies without being able to take the accumulated leave amount, the person who is determined to receive gratuity or pension according to sub-rule (1) of rule 77 shall be entitled to receive such accumulated leave amount.
