Section 24
Must be identified
(1) If a person needs to be identified in a case, at least a police officer of the rank of police sub-inspector should do the identification. But just because of non-identification, there will be no material impact on the proceedings of the case.
(2) During the identification according to sub-section (1), the person to be identified shall be kept in a place where he cannot be seen or seen, and at least four persons of similar age, race or physical appearance shall be identified as far as possible by dressing the person to be identified with the person to be identified. Each person should be identified separately.
(3) The form of identification will be as mentioned in schedule-17.
(4) When making the identification according to sub-section (2), the person making the identification must include a written message stating whether or not the person doing the identification can identify it.
(5) A police officer of the rank of police sub-inspector can get identification of the tenancy or other things related to the case by setting up an identification bond.
