Section 4
Procedures of Committees and Directors
: (1) The Government of Nepal shall constitute a Board of Directors with a maximum of seven members, including the General Manager, on behalf of the Corporation's directors. If the Government of Nepal deems it necessary, it can also appoint a non-governmental person who is famous in commerce, finance and accounting or has experience in the field of aviation and tourism promotion as the director.
(2) The term of office of directors other than the general manager shall be four years and the director whose term of office has expired shall be eligible for re-appointment. But a non-government person can generally be re-appointed for one term only.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (2), the Government of Nepal may, if it wishes, remove any administrator even if his term of office has not expired.
(4) Government of Nepal may appoint chairman and vice-chairman of the committee from among the directors. As president and vice president, their term of office will be according to the wishes of the Government of Nepal.
(5) The Government of Nepal may, if it wishes, appoint the chairman, vice-chairman or any director of the committee as the executive chairman, executive vice-chairman or executive director, entrusted with the work and duties of the general manager in accordance with this Act. The salaries, allowances and other conditions of service of the Executive Chairman, Executive Vice Chairman or Executive Director appointed in this way shall be as prescribed by the Government of Nepal.
(6) The secretary of the committee shall certify the decision of the committee (7) According to subsection (2), 6 months before the end of the term of office, the concerned ministry will propose the names of directors to be placed in the committee to the Government of Nepal.
