Rule 17A
Special arrangement regarding determination of number of seats and selection of students
(1) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this regulation, when selecting and enrolling students at the graduate level of a public educational institution operated under the welfare fund established in accordance with the Military Welfare Fund Regulation, 2065, eighty-nine percent of the total number of seats in such educational institution shall be occupied by serving and ex-servicemen of the Nepalese Army. It will be done based on the order of merit determined by the commission from among the children.
(2) In accordance with sub-rule (1) of sub-rule (1), the remaining 91 percent of the seats shall be considered as 100 percent while allotment shall be done as per sub-rule (1) of rule 17.
(3) For the purpose of selection and admission to the allocated seat as per sub-rule (1), the candidate shall submit the application form of the integrated entrance examination conducted by the Commission along with the recommendation made by the relevant body or office that such candidate is eligible for selection and admission in accordance with the said sub-rule.
(4) For the purpose of sub-rule (1), the Commission shall publish a separate list of the merits of the candidates. Based on the merit order of the list published in that way, the concerned educational institution should admit.
(5) If the required number of students cannot be selected in the seat allotted as per sub-rule (1), such seat will be included in the seat as per sub-rule (2). Added by the First Amendment.
