(1) There will be an Adverse Event Investigation Committee to immediately investigate any adverse event that may occur after vaccination and submit its report to the committee.
(2) The constitution of the investigation committee shall be as follows:-
(a) A person nominated by the Ministry from among the senior pediatric specialists as chairman (b) Representative, Drug Administration Department – ​​Member
(c) Representative, Nepal Pediatric Society – Member
(d) One member from among senior pediatric specialists (e) One member from among senior public health experts (f) One member from among the senior pathologists (g) Head, Vaccination Branch, Department – ​​Member – Secretary
(3) The Ministry will nominate the members as per clauses (d), (e) and (f) of sub-section (2).
(4) The term of office of the chairman and nominated members of the investigation committee will be four years.
(5) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (4), if the chairman and nominated members of the investigation committee do not fulfill their official duties, the ministry may remove them from such positions at any time.
(6) According to sub-section (5), before removing the chairman or any member from office, the ministry shall give him an opportunity to submit a clarification.
(7) The work of the secretariat of the research committee will be done by the child health division of the department.
