Section 2
Definition
In this Act, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires,-
(a) "Permit" means the permit issued under section 11 to operate vaccination services.
(b) "Investigation Committee" means the Adverse Incident Investigation Committee as per Section 19.
(c) "Fund" means the vaccination fund as per section 21.
(d) "Vaccine" means a vaccine given to prevent, control, prevent or eradicate a disease.
(e) “Vaccination Card” shall mean the vaccination card provided under Section 12.
(f) "Vaccination program" means the national vaccination program conducted by the Ministry as a regular or campaign to prevent, control, prevent or eradicate a disease and the term also refers to monitoring of diseases that can be prevented by vaccination.
(g) "Vaccination person" means a health worker or doctor who gives vaccination and the term also refers to other persons designated by the Ministry to give specific types of vaccinations.
(h) "Vaccination service" means the act of providing vaccination according to this Act and the term also refers to the management, supply, storage or distribution of vaccine materials for the operation of vaccination service.
(i) "Physician" means a person who is registered as a physician according to the prevailing law.
(j) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
(k) "Ministry" means the Ministry of Health and Population (l) "Committee" means the National Vaccination Committee as per section 15.
(d) "Advisory Committee" means the National Vaccination Advisory Committee as per Section 18.
(d) "Department" means the Department of Health Services.
(n) "Health worker" means a person who is registered as a health worker according to the prevailing law.
