(1) A civil servant who has served for five years or more but has not reached the period of retirement shall receive gratuity at the following rate if he retires or resigns by accepting his resignation or if he is removed from his position without being disqualified for future government service:-
(a) Civil servants who have served from five years to ten years, the last half month salary for each year of service,
(b) a civil servant who has served more than ten years for fifteen years, the last one month's pay for each year of his service,
(c) Civil servants who have served more than fifteen years and less than twenty years, the salary of the last one and a half months for each year of service.
