Section 59
Punishment
If there is a proper and sufficient reason, the following departmental punishment may be imposed on the civil servant:-
(a) General Punishment:
(1) Giving advice,
(2) Withholding promotion for two years or withholding a maximum of two pay increments,
(3) Suspension of promotion for two to five years or suspension of two to five salary increments.
(b) Special Punishment:
(1) Removal from service so as not to be disqualified for government service in the future.
(2) Dismissal from service in such a way as to disqualify him for future government service.
