Section 16
Probation period
In the case of new appointment to permanent posts in the civil service, there will be a probationary period of six months in case of female employees and one year in case of male employees. If his work is not satisfactory during the trial period, his appointment can be cancelled. In this way, the appointment of civil servants whose appointment has not been revoked will automatically be deemed to have been approved after the probationary period has ended. However, if an employee who has been permanently appointed to a post in the civil service and has completed the probationary period, if he is permanently appointed to another post in the civil service and takes leave, such an employee will not be placed in the probationary period again. Clarification :- Clause 3 of clause c of sub-section 1 of section 10 and for the purposes of this section, "Civil Service" shall also refer to Parliament Service and Nepal Health Service.
