Section 107
Not to be adulterated with food
(1) To produce, sell and distribute or sell expired or adulterated food by adulterating any harmful substance that should not be eaten, drunk or consumed by the general public, or harmful substance to be eaten, drunk or consumed, or harmful chemical substance Foodstuffs or non-foodstuffs that are below the prescribed level should not be distributed or imported or kept for sale and distribution.
(2) A person who commits or causes an offense under sub-section (1) shall be imprisoned for up to five years and fined up to fifty thousand rupees.
