Section 187
Limit
(1) An offense under sub-section (3) of section 177, 178, 179, 180, 181, 182 and 184 shall be pleaded whenever the offender is proved himself. In the case of a duty complaint in such a crime, if it is not found that the duty holder is guilty after the investigation, the complaint will not be filed after twenty years and if the duty is not complained after two years after the incident.
(2) In the case of other offenses under this paragraph except as mentioned in sub-section (1), complaint shall not be filed after six months have passed since the committee became aware of the occurrence of such offence.
