Section 100
<br> not to be absent contrary to bail conditions
A person who has been released on bail for an offense shall not be absent from the office or the court where the bail was granted, without reasonable cause, contrary to the conditions of bail. Explanation: For the purpose of this section, "bail" means cash, cash, bank surety or physical surety.
(2) A person who commits an offense under sub-section (1) shall be punished with imprisonment up to one year or a fine of up to ten thousand rupees or both.
(3) If a person who is absent in accordance with this section is found to be guilty of the offense for which he is accused, the punishment as per this section shall be added to the punishment for such offence.
(4) According to law, if the person who is released from bail does not appear in the office or the court in accordance with such bail, the person who gives such bail shall be fined up to fifty thousand rupees.
(5) A person convicted under this section shall not be eligible for bail for a period of three years.
