Rule 250
Suspension of rule
(1) Any member may, with the permission of the Speaker, submit a motion that any rule of this regulation be suspended in relation to any action pending before the House of Representatives, and if the motion is passed, the said rule shall be deemed to be suspended for the time being.
(2) A proposal under sub-rule (1) can generally be submitted only for the purpose of shortening the time limit for passing a bill through summary process.
