Rule 160

Deemed to be relieved of office :- (1) If the motion of impeachment presented against the President or Vice President is passed by both Houses of the Federal Parliament by a two-thirds majority of the total number of members immediately existing in the respective Houses, the concerned President or Vice President shall be deemed to be automatically relieved of office.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), the general secretary will give the information about the automatic dismissal to the relevant officials and the government of Nepal, the office of the prime minister and the council of ministers.
(3) If the impeachment motion is passed and the person who has been relieved of office has committed any offense while holding the office of President or Vice President, such offense shall not be hindered from taking action in accordance with the federal law.
(4) A person who has been relieved of office after the motion of impeachment has been passed shall not be entitled to receive any benefits from such office and shall not be appointed or nominated to any public office in the future.
