Rule 10
Formation of the Recruitment Committee
: (1) The following recruitment committee will be formed to recommend to the authorities for selection and appointment to the posts of police service through open competition:-
(a) Chairman of the Public Service Commission or a member of the commission appointed by him – Chairman
(b) Secretary, Ministry – Member
(c) Inspector General of Police – Member
(d) Additional Inspector General of Police or Deputy Inspector General of Police appointed by the Inspector General of Police - Member - Secretary
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), the Vacancy Committee shall form a separate Vacancy Sub-Committee with a maximum of five members as per the requirement to select a suitable candidate for a position lower than Police Inspector and recommend to the authority for appointment. He can hand over the existing rights.
(3) The recruitment committee or the recruitment sub-committee as per sub-rule (2) may invite experts in the relevant subject to the meeting as required for candidate selection.
