: If there is a proper and sufficient reason, the following departmental punishment can be imposed on the police personnel :
(a) General Punishment
(1) Punishing or restraining physical labor,
(2) Giving advice,
(3) writing an adverse opinion in the conduct report,
(4) Withhold promotion for a maximum period of five years,
(5) Withholding not more than five pay increments,
(6) Decreasing up to five increments of salary after compensation (7) Demotion to the starting scale or demotion to a lower position if the seniority of the current position is reduced.
(b) Special punishment
(1) Removal from service so as not to be disqualified for future government service,
(2) Dismissal from the service so as to be deemed ineligible for future government service.
