In these Regulations, unless the context or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Amar Police" means a police officer who has been martyred in a terrorist incident or explosion or an armed encounter attack or in police action against terrorists or in any other special situation while engaged in dangerous and challenging work, in any accidental accident or due to injury from fire or any kind of weapon. .
(b) "Act" means the Police Act, 2012.
(c) "Welfare Fund" means the Police Welfare Fund as per Rule 194.
(d) "Executive Director" means the Head of the National Police Training Institute (e) "Office" means an office as per rule 8.
(f) "Gan Pramukh" means the head of armed and riot control police at central or regional level.
(g) "District Police Group" means District Police Group as per rule 3.
(h) "Director" means the head of the Directorate or Bureau under the Police Headquarters.
(i) "Filling Committee" means the Filling Committee as per rule 10.
(j) "Trainee Police Officer" shall mean a basic trained police officer.
(k) "Additional Commissioner of Police" means the Deputy Inspector General of Police working under the Metropolitan Police.
(l) "Commissioner of Police" means the Chief of the Metropolitan Police Office.
(d) "Police Office Assistant" means an unranked police employee.
(d) "Police family" means the husband, wife, son, daughter, adopted son, adopted daughter, father, mother or step-mother who lives with the police officer and has to be supported by him and by that word, in case of male and unmarried female police officer, his son, daughter-in-law, etc. And in the case of a married female police officer, it also refers to her mother-in-law, father-in-law.
(n) "Police technical staff" means police staff working in the police technical group.
(h) Say “Technical Police Group”.It should mean the technical police group according to rule 3.
(h) "Inspector General of Police" means the Head of Police Headquarters.
(d) "Joint Commissioner of Police" means the Chief Senior Superintendent of Police of the Metropolitan Police Complex.
(d) "Police Service" means the Police Service constituted under the Police Force constituted under Section 3 of the Act.
(N) "Ministry" means Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs.
(p) "Department" shall mean the Administration Department, Work Department, Crime Investigation Department, Human Resource Development Department formed for the performance as specified by the Inspector General of Police and the term also refers to other departments formed as per the need.
(f) "Police Organization" means the overall structure of the Nepal Police including the Police Headquarters and all the offices under it and all the personnel working in that office.
(b) "Instructor" means the Head of Metropolitan Police Academy and Regional Police Training Center.
(b) "Permanent Residence Permit" means Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV), Permanent Resident Visa (PR), or Green Card provided to Nepalese citizens to reside permanently in that country with or without any conditions. It should be remembered that the word also refers to the permanent residence permit of any name given to Nepali citizens to live abroad permanently.
