Rule 20
Trial period
(1) Police personnel appointed to the posts to be filled through open competition shall be placed on a probationary period of one year.
(2) After the police personnel whose work has been satisfactory during the trial period and who have passed the basic training take the oath after touching the national flag and the police flag in the format as per schedule-6, their appointment will be deemed valid.
