Section 24F
Promotion Complaint

(1) The concerned civil servant who is not satisfied with the promotion recommendation made by the promotion committee in accordance with section 20 may file a complaint with the Public Service Commission within thirty-five days from the date of such recommendation and the complaint will be resolved within sixty days from the date of expiry of the complaint deadline.
(2) If there is a need to amend the previously published promotion list after the complaint received under sub-section (1) has been settled, the officer hearing the complaint shall inform the promotion committee.
(3) The Public Service Commission may issue a warning to the assessor if it is found that the assessment has been deliberately made while investigating the complaint in accordance with sub-section (1).
(4) If the complaint filed under sub-section (1) is found to be false, 2 marks will be deducted for the promotion after the complaint, if it is the first time complaint and 3 marks will be deducted if it is the second time complaint.
(5) The notification of the action taken according to sub-section (3) or (4) should be sent to the secretariat of the promotion committee and the office where the relevant staff is working.
(6) Other arrangements related to promotion complaints shall be as prescribed.
