Section 126
Don't beg or beg

(1) No one shall beg for alms in any public place or encourage children to beg or to beg for alms under the pretense of singing, dancing, playing or doing any work or giving money or wages to any other person.
(2) A person who commits an offense under sub-section (1) shall be punished as follows and shall also be subject to forfeiture of alms:-
(a) Imprisonment up to one month or fine up to one thousand rupees for the first time, and imprisonment up to two months or fine up to two thousand rupees every second time,
(b) Imprisonment up to one year or fine up to ten thousand rupees or both, and imprisonment up to three years or fine up to thirty thousand rupees or both for the second time.
(3) If a Sadhu, Saint, Jogi or Bhikkhu goes from house to house asking for alms according to the tradition from time immemorial, or if alms is asked for in any religious or cultural function, such act shall not be considered as an offense under this section,
(4) "Public place" means a road, street, park, vehicle rest area, government office or office premises and the term also refers to vehicles in public use.
