Rule 205
Honorary promotion
: (1) According to this regulation, police assistant inspectors of police, deputy inspectors of police and senior deputy inspectors of police and police officers of the rank of police sub-inspectors who are potential candidates for promotion without promotion and who have done commendable work, the concerned authority shall, on the recommendation of the promotion committee, give one Honorary promotion to the higher level will be possible.
(2) A police officer who is promoted in accordance with sub-rule (1) shall use the insignia of the post so promoted and shall have all the privileges of that post.
(3) Promotion as per sub-rule (1) can be done to a maximum of two persons in one year.
