Section 50
Treason
(1) With the intention of subverting the Government of Nepal or the constitutional structure, no one shall commit or cause or encourage any such conspiracy or enterprise to create any disorder or to create a military or paramilitary organization with weapons by the display or use of military, paramilitary or criminal force.
(2) A person who commits an offense under sub-section (1) shall be imprisoned for up to twenty-five years.
(3) In connection with the Government of Nepal or the activities of the Government of Nepal, no one shall, by writing, word, shape or sign or by any other means show baseless or unsubstantiated matter, to show hatred, malice or contempt towards the Government of Nepal or cause to do such an enterprise. (4) A person who commits an offense under subsection (3) shall be imprisoned for up to three years or fined up to thirty thousand rupees.
