Section 195
Not to assault or cause maim or other injury by negligent act or recklessness
(1) No one shall beat, mutilate or cause any other injury to any person by acting negligently or recklessly.
(2) A person who commits an offense under sub-section (1) shall be punished as follows:-
(a) Imprisonment up to two years or fine up to twenty thousand rupees or both, and in case of any other type of injury, imprisonment up to one year or fine up to ten thousand rupees or both, (b) If he commits such an offense with recklessness, imprisonment up to six months or fine up to five thousand rupees or both.
