Rule 32
Evaluation of experience of working in classified area
: (1) When giving points for experience of working in different geographical areas to the police personnel, as mentioned in Schedule-9, the geographical area shall be "A", "B", "C", "D" respectively. "E" will be divided into five categories and will be given points as follows, not exceeding eight points for annual work experience:-
(a) At the rate of 1.5 marks for every year of service in category “A”. (b) At the rate of 1.4 marks for every year of service in category “B”. (c) At the rate of 1.3 marks for every year of service in “C” category.
(d) At the rate of 1.2 marks for every year of service in category “D”. (e) At the rate of 1 mark for each year of service in “E” category.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), if he has worked in any one geographical area for a period of at least ninety days or more, he will be given proportionate number of points for working in that geographical area and if he has worked for a period of less than ninety days, in any geographical area Even if they have worked in the field, they will be given the marks specified for "E" category.
(3) In the case of police personnel who have been dismissed from the police service and reinstated or suspended and such suspension has been lifted, no points will be given for working in the geographical area during the period of absence.
(4) Police personnel assigned to the United Nations Federal Mission or Nepalese diplomatic missions abroad will be given half of the marks specified for "E" category and to police personnel going on study leave or overseas training for a period of three months or more.
(5) The points earned for working in the geographical area will be counted only if they are obtained in a position one level lower than the position to be promoted.
(6) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), the marks obtained by any employee for geographical area at the time of commencement of this rule shall not be reduced.
(7) Before the commencement of this regulation, the marks obtained for working in the geographical area will be converted into a whole number eight and the marks obtained will be determined accordingly.
