Rule 216
Member Conduct

(1) The officers and members of the assembly shall follow the following code of conduct to fulfill their responsibilities as per the constitution and to maintain public confidence in their work:-
(a) To fulfill the objectives of the assembly and to fully comply with these regulations for that purpose,
(b) Behave in accordance with the existing public morals and conduct in the society,
(c) attending the meeting or the committee of which he is a member and regularly participating in its proceedings and exercising his voting rights,
(d) Selflessly, honestly and objectively, responsibly perform their duties,
(e) In every action related to the meeting, the member shall give importance to the public purpose and if there is a conflict between the private interest and the public interest, he shall clearly stand for the public interest. (f) not to speak, vote or participate in any business proceedings of the meeting for personal benefit or for financial benefit or fee, remuneration or reward,
(g) To use the confidential information and information obtained as a member only for the purpose of the meeting and not to make it a subject of transaction with any other person or organization for financial gain, and
(h) If his personal or private interest is involved in any matter under consideration in the meeting or the committee of which he is a member, he should inform the meeting or the committee and not participate in the discussion on that matter.
(2) The code of conduct under this rule shall apply to all aspects of the public life of officers and members. But it is not considered to regulate the work or behavior related to the personal or private life of the office bearers and members.
