(1) Being under the direction and control of the Police Head Office, the work, duties and powers of the Cyber ​​Bureau Chief within his area of ​​responsibility shall be as follows:-
(a) 8 Making necessary arrangements to prevent cyber-related offences,
(b) Investigate or cause to investigate the following cyber-related offenses and other criminal offenses related to such offenses to be investigated by the Nepal Police:-
(1) Offenses reported to the Cyber ​​Bureau,
(2) Crimes determined by the Police Headquarters to be investigated by the Cyber ​​Bureau due to the nature of the crime being organized, serious or complex,
(3) The fault assigned by the Police Headquarters for having been requested by the concerned police office that the Cyber ​​Bureau would be more effective in its investigation.
(c) Make emergency protection and other necessary arrangements by making the photos and videos of the cyber-related victims on social media immediately invisible (hide),
(d) To supervise, monitor and coordinate the work done by other police offices in the control and investigation of cyber crimes,
(e) _ To manage or cause a central registry of cyber-related offences,
(f. To comply with the instructions given by the taluk office,
(G. Doing or having other actions specified by the prevailing law.
(2) While investigating the crimes reported or received for investigation in the Cyber ​​Bureau, if the matter is deemed appropriate to be investigated by another police office, the Chief of the Cyber ​​Bureau shall send the evidence and missiles collected in such cases to the relevant police office for the purpose of further investigation.
(3) In relation to the cyber-related issue as per sub-rule (2), the relevant police office shall also provide the information to the Cyber ​​Bureau after completing the investigation and submitting the investigation report to the public prosecutor.
(4) According to this rule, the police personnel assigned by the Chief of the Cyber ​​Bureau may work throughout Nepal using the same powers as the investigation officer according to the prevailing law.
