1 The work, duties and rights of the classification committee will be as follows:- 2.4.1.1 To advise the department regarding the classification of ancient monuments in terms of ownership and importance, to survey the ancient monuments from time to time and prepare a survey report. 2.4.1.2 Based on the survey report prepared according to sub-rule 2.4.1.1, prepare the basis for classifying the ancient monuments in terms of ownership and importance and advise the department to classify the ancient monuments on the same basis. 2.4.1.3 As mentioned in sub-rule 2.4.1.1, forming sub-committees as necessary to survey the ancient monuments and prepare a report. 2.4.1.4 Carrying out other necessary tasks assigned by the Government of Nepal regarding the survey and classification of ancient monuments. 2.4.2 Sub-committees to be formed according to sub-rule 2.4.1.3 shall be as prescribed by the classification committee.
