Section 20
Ineligibility to be candidates
The following persons shall not be eligible to be candidates for the post of Federal Parliament Service:-
(a) Non-Nepali citizens,
(b) Those who have not completed 18 years of age in gazetted posts,
(c) Those who have not completed 21 years of age in gazetted posts,
(d) completed thirty five years in case of male candidates and forty years in case of female candidates, but –
(1) Ex-servicemen or policemen may be candidates under the age of 40 for the designated posts of the Legislature-Parliament Service.
(2) In gazetted second and first class open competitions, persons who have not reached the age of forty-five years can be candidates.
(3) There shall be no age limit in the case of permanent employees of the Federal Parliament Service and other government services of a similar nature. Explanation: For the purpose of this section, "permanent employees of other government services of similar nature" means permanent employees of civil service and Nepal Health Service.
(e) Dismissed from the service in order to be deemed ineligible for federal parliament service and other government service in the future,
(f) Those who have been found guilty by the court in a criminal charge of moral turpitude.
