Rule 232
Suspension of Rules
(1) Any member may, with the permission of the Speaker, submit a motion that any rule of this regulation be suspended from being applicable in relation to any action pending before the National Assembly, and if the motion is passed, the said rule shall be deemed to be suspended for the time being. (2) Sub-rule (1) Such a proposal can generally be submitted only for the purpose of shortening the time limit for passing a bill through abbreviated process.
