Section 101
Not to resist arrest or escape from custody
(1) When an arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of a person in accordance with the law, or during the course of the arrest or when the person has been arrested or has already been arrested, a person who is in custody in accordance with the law shall not escape or attempt to escape from custody by deliberately using force to avoid arrest.
(2) A person who commits or causes an offense under sub-section (1) shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with a fine which may extend to thirty thousand rupees.
