Section 27
Promotion Committee

(1) There shall be a Promotion Committee as follows to recommend for promotion to the gazetted posts of the Legislature-Parliament Service:-
(a) Chairman of the Public Service Commission or a member of the commission appointed by him - Chairman
(b) Secretary General – Member
(c) Secretary-member appointed by the Speaker from amongst the Secretaries (d) Secretary to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs – Member
(e) Expert in the relevant subject nominated by the Chairman of the Public Service Commission - Member
(f) Secretariat Secretary – Member – Secretary
(2) The Secretariat of the Promotion Committee shall be in the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat.
(3) The promotion committee shall publish the promotion results within four months from the last date of submitting the application form.
(4) Other procedures to be adopted by the promotion committee when recommending the promotion of employees shall be as prescribed.
