Section 92
Do not destroy the document

(1) A person who has a legal duty to submit any document or electronic record as evidence in any judicial or other legal proceeding shall not knowingly destroy such document or record, make it incomprehensible or make it unusable in any other way.
(2) A person who commits or causes an offense under sub-section (1) shall be imprisoned for up to two years and fined up to twenty thousand rupees.
(3) No one shall intentionally destroy any document or electronic record submitted in any judicial or other legal proceedings against the law, make it unintelligible by manipulation or otherwise make it unusable as evidence, or illegally remove it or give it to anyone without authorization.
(4) A person who commits or causes an offense under sub-section (3) shall be imprisoned for up to four years and fined up to forty thousand rupees.
(5) If any national servant commits an offense under sub-section (1) or (3), he shall be punished with double the punishment mentioned in the same sub-section.
