(1) According to sub-rule (5) of Rule 174, the Privileges Committee shall start proceedings as soon as possible upon receipt of the document containing the proposal. or may issue an order of arrest, produce witnesses, take evidence, file documents or make statements. (4) If deemed necessary by the Privileges Committee, the accused may be detained and punished. If the Privileges Committee detains someone accordingly, it should inform the meeting. If the meeting cancels the action, the detained person should be released from detention as soon as possible.
