Rule 203
Proposal to ratify, accede to, accept or support a treaty

(1) After the detailed discussion in the meeting and after the discussion on the committee's report is finished and the amendments are submitted for the decision of the assembly, the member presenting the treaty shall present a proposal that the treaty be ratified, acceded to, accepted or supported. (2) Sub-section of Article 279 of the Constitution. (2) Proposals related to the ratification, accession, acceptance or support of treaties on subjects other than the subjects mentioned in Article 279 of the Constitution must be approved by the majority of the assembly. The resolution must be passed by a two-thirds majority of the total number of members present in the meeting. (4) After the completion of the work as per sub-rules (2) and (3), the resolution regarding the ratification, accession, acceptance or support of the treaty shall be deemed to have been passed. If the passed treaty is not originated in the meeting of the Assembly, the secretary will send it to the House of Representatives along with a message. or a proposal with a message of support will be tabled by the secretary in the meeting and a copy of it will be distributed to the members. (6) According to sub-rule (5) two days after the distribution of the copy of the treaty with the message, the presenting member may present a proposal that the same be considered. (7) In the case of motions and subsequent proceedings as per sub-rule (6), the procedure relating to the treaty submitted to the assembly shall be applicable.
