The functions, duties and powers of the Assembly shall be as follows:-

(a) To establish and manage the establishment of universities for Sanskrit higher education,

(b) In North Madhya, establishing and awarding the titles of Shastri, Acharya, Vidyavaridhi,

(c) Approving the annual program of the University and passing the annual budget,

(d) The University Passing rules,

(e) Giving guidance to the University,

(f) Discussing the annual report of the University and evaluating the programme,

(g) Audit report. To discuss and approve the above,

(h) To constitute special committees as required.
