Rule 73
Notice of Adjournment Motion

(1) A motion to adjourn the program of the meeting to discuss a specific matter of urgent public importance subject to this regulation may be submitted with the permission of the chairman. However, (a) if such motion is not in accordance with the rules or if the chairman rejects it, the information of the reason for the rejection or not in accordance with the rules If the chairman deems it appropriate, he may give it to the proposing member. (b) If the chairman deems it necessary to obtain more information regarding the facts mentioned in the proposal, he may obtain such information from the proposing member or the minister before accepting or rejecting the proposal. Two hours prior to the commencement of the meeting of the day, notice shall be given to the secretary and one copy of the notice containing such proposal shall also be given to the chairman, the minister concerned and the minister of parliamentary affairs. (4) If more than one member signs the notification of the proposal, the member signing the first serial number shall be deemed to have given the notification.
