The functions, duties and powers of the Additional Chairman mentioned elsewhere in this Act shall be as follows:-
(a) Acting as the Chief Administrative and Chief Executive Officer of the Authority,
(b) Formulate insurance policies and other policies, rules, regulations, guidelines, procedures, periodical plans and annual programs of the authority and submit them to the committee for approval. (c) To implement or cause the insurance policy and other policies, regulations, guidelines, procedures, periodical plans and annual programs of the Authority,
(d) To operate and manage the Authority,
(e) To organize and regularize the work to be done by the Authority,
(f) To arbitrate disputes between the Insurer and the Insured,
(g) To perform or cause to act related to the regulation, inspection or monitoring of insurance business,
(h) Approving the opening of branches, sub-branches and other offices of insurers or ordering them to be closed (i) clauses (a), (b), (c) of sub-section (1) of section 134; (d) and (e) and to take action related to regulation by using the powers under clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (2),
(h) Delegating or causing the necessary work to be done to the employees under his authority,
(k) To represent or cause to be represented on behalf of the authority in international organizations.
