Rule 50
Registration and Use of Stamps

(1) The Community Forest User Group has made a stamp in accordance with Schedule-29 to use the trees and wood to be felled for the purpose of wood, firewood collection and sale and distribution. An application for registration should be submitted to the forest office.
(2) If an application is received according to sub-rule (1), the Divisional Forest Officer shall, after looking at the sample of the stamp, register the stamp of the Community Forest User Group free of charge without duplicating the details of the stamp.
(3) The divisional forest officer shall prepare and send the details of the community forest user groups registered as per sub-rule (2) to the directorate and department.
(4) The community forest user group shall affix a stamp of registration according to sub-rule (2) while cutting, transporting and transporting and selling trees.
(5) The responsibility for the use and protection of community forest user groups will be the responsibility of the president of such users group. If there is a loss or damage to the stamp for any reason, the division forest office should be informed immediately and the old stamp should be canceled and a new stamp should be registered.
(6) The Division Forest Office shall provide the information with the details of the old stamp canceled as per sub-rule (5) to the Department, Directorates under all provinces and all Division Forest Offices.
