Rule 127

(1) Consumer groups, individuals, firms, industries, companies or projects that have obtained a license to collect forest products from forest areas shall perform the following actions while managing the manpower involved in forest management and the work from collection to processing of forest products:-
(a) To keep records of forest workers and to provide identity cards,
(b) / Before carrying out the collection of forest produce, the person involved in the collection should be given training on the practice of sustainable collection of forest produce,
(c) The human resources involved in the collection of forest products should adopt measures to reduce the risks that may occur during the collection of forest products, (d) Training should be provided to the human resources engaged in the collection of forest products to protect themselves,
(e) Each group of manpower engaged in forest produce collection should be provided with basic first aid equipment and at least one of the group should be trained in basic first aid.
(2) The concerned body shall make proper arrangements for cleanliness and safety for the employees and laborers who work related to the collection of forest produce.
(3) Even the human resources involved in forest management work at the time of commencement of this rule shall be provided training in accordance with this rule within one year of the commencement of this rule.
