Rule 20
The period of collecting the bean crops
(1) The period for collecting wood and firewood from the national forest area will be from the first of October to the end of May every year.
(2) The Divisional Forest Officer shall set a deadline for cutting and felling trees from the National Forest area from October 1st to the end of February.
(3) According to sub-rule (2), the collection of wood and firewood obtained from felled trees should be done by the end of Baisakh. (4) Regardless of what is written in sub-rule (1), wood and firewood can be collected and provided from the forest area at any time to the people in distress.
(5) If there is a reasonable and sufficient reason for not being able to cut down the trees and collect wood and firewood within the period mentioned in sub-rules (2) and (3), the Divisional Forest Officer may extend the period by a maximum of one month for that work with the consent of the Provincial Forest Director. Also, the Divisional Forest Officer may extend a maximum period of one month for taking such wood and firewood out of the forest area and making it a ghatgaddi.
(6) Even within the period mentioned in sub-rule (5), if wood and firewood cannot be collected after felling the trees, the Divisional Forest Officer shall take the consent of the State Forest Director and cancel the registration of the remaining trees to be felled.
(7) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this rule, in the case of the national forest area given to be used as per section 42 of the Act, the Divisional Forest Officer, with the consent of the State Forest Director, shall make adequate arrangements to prevent the regeneration of the forest area and the loss of other trees and plants throughout the year by felling trees and removing wood and firewood. may give permission to withdraw.
