Rule 11
Arrangement

(1) The Divisional Forest Officer shall make proper arrangements for the protection and management of wetlands such as water sources, water springs, ponds, lakes, glaciers, creeks and rivers within the forest area within his jurisdiction.
(2) The Divisional Forest Officer shall prepare a separate wetland management plan based on the strategic plan according to Rule 14 to protect and manage the wetlands listed in the Ramsar list of international importance under the Ramsar Convention or the particularly important wetlands within the national forest area and send it to the department after taking the approval of the directorate. . While preparing such a plan, the potential areas for tourism in wetlands should also be identified and mentioned.
(3) In the management plan according to sub-rule (2), the department will submit its opinion to the ministry. will be sent and such plan will be implemented after approval by the Ministry.
(4) Notwithstanding anything else written in this rule, the management of the wetlands within the forest area managed by the consumer group shall be done in accordance with the approved action plan.
(5) The Divisional Forest Officer may cooperate with the local level in the conservation, management and tourism operations of wetlands with the consent of the Provincial Ministry.
