Rule 57
Partnership Forest Management Committee

(1) For the management of partnership forest, there will be a partnership forest management committee as follows to make decisions on behalf of the partners as per section 23 of the Act:-
(a) President of the Partnership Forest User Group "Avyaksha" (b) One selected from among the representative members selected from each local level executive within the partnership forest management area - Vice President (c) At least three persons selected by the General Assembly from among the members of the Partnership Forest User Group: Women , up to thirteen members including one each from Dalits, tribal tribes and Madhesi, as far as available - Member (d) One member selected from among the elected representatives selected from each ward within the partnership forest management area - Member (e) - Assistant Forest Officer appointed by the Divisional Forest Officer - Member-Secretary (2) To carry out the daily work of the Partnership Forest Management Committee and to implement the approved action plan of the Partnership Forest, there will be the following implementation unit under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Partnership Forest Management Committee:-
(a) Chairman of the Partnership Forest Management Committee.
(b) Four members including at least two women chosen by the members under clause (c) of sub-rule (1) (c) One person chosen by the members as per Clause (d) of sub-rule (1) -Member (d) Assistant Forest Officer of concerned sub-division forest office -Member-Secretary
(3) The term of office of the officers and members of the Partnership Forest Management Committee shall be five years at most and before the end of the term of office, the new office-bearers and members shall be elected and transferred the responsibilities.
(4) If the responsibilities are not transferred according to sub-rule (3), the divisional forest officer shall implement the action plan of the partnership forest until the new officers and members are elected and within three months, the management committee shall be formed and the responsibilities shall be transferred.
