(1) The Divisional Forest Officer shall prepare and submit to the directorate an action plan including the matters listed in Schedule-17 subject to the strategic plan approved by the Government of Nepal in accordance with rule 14 including the demarcation of the forests managed by the government.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), there will be a technical committee as determined by the Provincial Ministry under the coordination of the Provincial Forest Director to study and technically test the work plan received in the Directorate. The technical committee shall also recommend for the approval of the action plan by conducting on-site monitoring as required.
(3) Based on the recommendation of the technical committee as per sub-rule (2), the provincial forest director shall send the action plan with his opinion to the provincial ministry for approval and the provincial ministry shall approve such action plan.
(4) Action plan approved as per sub-rule (3): If there is a need to amend, the action plan with the recommendation of the technical committee as per sub-rule (2) should be sent by the provincial forest director to the provincial ministry for approval.
(5) Chakala Forest Management Action Plans approved and implemented before the commencement of this regulation shall be deemed to have been prepared and approved in accordance with this regulation.
(6) The Divisional Forest Officer shall implement the action plan of the forest managed by the Government.
(7) Provincial Forestry Director shall submit an annual report to the Provincial Ministries and Departments after following up on the action plans of forests managed by the government within his jurisdiction.
