Rule 128
Wood, firewood based industries to be listed
(1) According to the existing law, sawmills and veneer and plywood mills that use wood, firewood as raw materials registered as industries should be registered in the Division Forest Office and get a certificate in the format as per Schedule-53.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), when submitting an application to the Division Forest Office to be listed, an industry registration certificate, an official proof of the establishment of the industry or a letter from the Sub Division Forest Office and the recommendation of the Nepal Forest Products Industry Association must be submitted.
(3) In accordance with sub-rule (1), the industries listed in the Division Forest Office will be allowed to participate in the auction sale process of forest produce throughout Nepal.
(4) According to sub-rule (1), the forest listed in accordance with sub-rule (1) shall register a stamp of Rs. The amount received in this way should be deposited in the provincial reserve fund.
(5) In accordance with this rule, the listed industries shall receive the tax payment certificate every year and submit the information thereof and the details of the forest produce transactions carried out during the year to the Division Forest Office.
(6) According to this rule, the distance between the forest area and the forest area for the establishment and operation of wood, firewood based industries shall be as determined by the state government.
(7) Notwithstanding anything else written in this rule (this rule is registered as an industry in accordance with the prevailing law at the time of commencement of this rule, including wood chipping and veneer and plywood using wood, firewood as raw material: industry within six months of the commencement of this rule (8) The industry that is not listed within the period as per sub-rule (7) shall not be allowed to participate in the auction sale process of forest produce after that period.
